Ivanov: Russia intends to build 50 GLONASS stations in 36 countries

The Chief of the Presidential Administration Sergei Ivanov announced that Russia is ready to promote GLONASS technologies.

Russia plans to build 50 GLONASS stations in several dozens of countries of the world, the Chief of the Presidential Administration noted in his opening speech at the 8th International Navigation Forum.

"We will continue to promote GLONASS technologies in global markets. We will enhance the competitiveness of Russian navigation services. For that we will create a ground-based measurement segment overseas. In perspective, or ideally we would like to have 50 measurement stations in 36 countries. This guarantees more stable and accurate performance of GLONASS,” Ivanov said.
