New GLONASS satellite to be launched from Plesetsk on June 14

The GLONASS grouping is fully completed.  It consists of 28 satellites, 24 function in a regular operational mode.

Another GLONASS satellite should be launched from the Plestsk spaceport in summer this year, the deputy head of Roscosmos Anatoly Shilov noted.

"Next launch of GLONASS-M scheduled for June 14 from the Plesetsk spaceport," Shilov said at the 8th International Navigation Forum "NAVITECH-2014" on Wednesday. 

At the moment the GLONASS grouping is fully completed.  It consists of 28 satellites, 24 of them function in a regular operational mode.  More satellites will be added to the group to replace existing ones as needed.
